Wrap-Around Support

Face of Today’s resource and support centre offers a variety of programs to the youth and family we serve as a part of our Wrap-Around Support.

• Food Security:

  Face of Today provides nutritious meals at all our programming, as well as unlimited snacks for our participants to keep them fuelled and focused. In an effort to support our youth and families at home, FOT increased our for support by offering monthly grocery gift cards throughout the school year to 20 families in our Wrap Around Support program, as well as grocery gift cards to 50 families over the Holiday season through our Holiday Hamper Program

• Therapy & Tutoring:

  Face of Today Foundation funds private professional counselling sessions for any youth participants wanting support. We offer free tutoring sessions to all participants to facilitate academic success.

• Mentorship:

  Each time youth access Face of Today’s centre, they are met by a minimum of two adult mentors from FOT and/or community partners. These mentors are leaders in our community, have relationships with the schools, come from diverse backgrounds, and hold a wealth of lived experience.

• Programs:

  Face of Today is proud to provide a safe space for youth, families and community partners. Providing an inclusive space for youth to build community, find equitable opportunities, resources and support is the core of our work.

• Events & Celebrations:

  The centre is equipped with a full fitness centre, plenty of space and supplies for arts and crafts sessions, and a free community store accessible to participants and their families. We host community events like our annual Halloween party and our graduation hair and makeup party.

• Wrap Around Support Program:

  At the beginning of the school year, 20 of our most vulnerable families are nominated by community partners to participate in the Wrap Around Support Program. This program gives each family access to two $500 grants over the school year for a total of $1000 support. Our Wrap Around Support program provides customized support through a variety of avenues to the community of youth we work with and their families.

• Continued Post Secondary Support:

  When Face of Today youth graduate high school, we partner with our funding partner, Herrendorf Family Foundation to provide support to Face of Today alumni in their post secondary endeavours.
